What Sooke homeowners say

★★★★★
“The roof looks fantastic, and I'm very happy with the results. They could have improved on their communication and scheduling. I'm very happy with the product. It looks good. The scheduling could have been a little better because I didn't know when the workers would or wouldn't be here. It was partially finished for a week and a half without an indication of when they'd be back.”
David and Tracey P. · Sooke, BC · 2022
★★★★★
“From the initial consultation to final completion, employees were knowledgeable, professional and efficient. Interlock is a superior product which will ensure roof confidence for a lifetime. With manufacturing of materials located in the Lower Mainland, no material delays or supply chain issues occurred that can lengthen projects. Overall, a great experience. Although the cost is likely more than any other product, the finished look is exceptional. Aluminum products locally manufactured ensured no material delays and peace of mind for years to come.”
Mike Bobbitt and Emma T. · Sooke, BC · 2022
★★★★★
“The crew was very professional and the roof looks great, they also fixed some other things that were done wrong when the house was built. Very pleased with the job. The job was done right as I expected from a professional. The house looks amazing.”
Jackie D. · Sooke, BC · 2021
★★★★★
“I already have. I think the only thing for the company is to hire more workers just so target installation doesn't get delayed. We were supposed to be installed in July. It was installed in September. That's the thing--more manpower for the company. Other than that, Interlock was great from the beginning. We're very satisfied. It looks great, and now I don't have to worry about my roof.”
Jason and Loree I. · Sooke, BC · 2019
★★★★★
“Need more installers for the island”

Roofing in Sooke: what to plan for

Rain from the west coast to the east

The Island ranges from very wet on the west side, around Port Alberni and Sproat Lake, to drier around Victoria, but most roofs here spend the winter damp under firs and cedars. Aluminum absorbs nothing and cannot rot. Needles still collect in valleys and gutters, and we'll tell you what to clear and how often.

Oceanfront without the rust

From Oak Bay and Sooke to Nanoose Bay and Comox, a lot of Island homes sit close to the water. Aluminum does not rust, so salt air doesn't do to it what it does to steel.

Comox Valley and upland snow

Some winters bring heavy, wet snow to the Comox Valley and the higher ground. A metal roof sheds it, so snow guards over entries, decks and driveways go in at the estimate, and the light panels leave the framing's capacity for the snow itself.

Homes in the trees

Plenty of Island homes back onto forest. Class A is available on our roofs as a complete assembly (two layers of GAF VersaShield® over 12 mm (15/32-inch) plywood, per ASTM E108), and aluminum does not ignite.
